Well, I hate to say it but due to some heavy duty health crises my '97 F-150 has gotten groddy under the hood. I mean, down right nasty. So, how do the car lots get these areas so pristine? I don't imagine that it's a one-step process.

Yes it is a one step process, you drop it off at a detail shop.

I do mine with Adams all purpose cleaner. Do a search for Adams polishes and check out the detailing videos. There is one for the engine.

They make just about the best car care products you can buy.

 

Simple Green, or other degreaser is your friend. Soft brush, gentle water, high pressure will kill all the electronics
