my mirror on my 07 fx2 got smashed and i cant seem to find one anywhere but the dealer and i am not likeing the fact of paying $400 for a mirror.
im looking for a heated, power, manual fold, with turn signle mirror with a smooth top cap.

or i was wondering if the mirrors that come on the xlt's with the textured caps are removable because my cap is still in useable

Other than that you should try Ebay, Craigslist, or start hitting up junkyards.

 

I have xlt mirrors, and you take the mirror glass off and then take the whole cap off.
sand the top and paint.
I believe the fx2 ones have a seperate top piece. maybe wrong here
and mine dont have heat, so depending on if you need heat.

 

yeah mine is heated i would preffer to have heat on the new one and yeah the fx2 does have a detachable cap thats why i was wondering if the xlt or any other model was different

 

just to make sure we are talking the same thing here,
the detachable part is the painted part detaches from the textured piece and those are both apart from the rest of the mirror itself, and not the painted and textured piece together like the xlt (mine) is
