Snatched it up on ebay for $111. The seller is (GRILLE 4 U) last I checked he had 10 more., I got in 2 days and very happy as a result.

That's exactly what I'd did, very happy with the result. Totally changed the apperance.

its an overlay or a direct replacement for the stock grille? my bolts for the surround are stripped out and wonder how much of a pain it would be to replace with surround still on the truck?

It's a direct replacement, I'd had to cut the honey comb portion out and bolt to surround which is also attached to grill shell. If yours are stripped out, you might need to get the entire grill shell portion with billet insert. Good luck.
