Headache rack

I'm not a big fan of headache racks but I saw one of these on an F150 today. http://www.spyderindustries.com/index.php
I'd love to get one with the spider web for my truck but it sucks because the cost would be the equivalent of 3.5 of my truck payments, or a house payment. Time to start saving up.

Spider web, please dont. Just buy a welder if you dont already have one and go to town. it will pay for its self soon enough, mine sure did!

Looks nice, but why is it called a 'headache rack'?

Because they originated in the commercial trucking industry. They are required for pulling flatbed trailers. The idea is, it is suppose to stop whatever you are hauling from flying forward in a sudden stop and hitting you in the head...hence "headache" rack. Problem being that most items that are hauled on flatbed trailers won't be stop by a silly rack in a sudden stopped only slowed down, but I'm sure it helps.

But back to the subject at hand...those are pretty nice but way to pricey for me.

I hope you're kidding about that spider web one...

I like headache racks if it "fits" the look of the truck.

Yea I was thinking the same.....

Spiderweb lol?

I agree it would look cool only with a regular louvered rack with some antennas coming off it for a CB mabey.

Spider web tho...no lol
