Yes, level kits are noticeable from the front. and the side... Here's a pic for you:

Stock:

3" Level Kit (wouldnt reccomend this unless you're putting something heavy on your front end like a winch and grill guard:

And I don't know if anyone still wants pics of body lifts but here's mine:

Here is my truck w/o running boards. I just painted them today with bed liner and put them back on. So I will get new pics tomorrow or sometime soon.

why wouldn't you recommend the 3" leveling kit unless i've got heavy stuff on the front? sits too high otherwise?
so what's a good size for people with nothing on the front?

You would cut down your suspension travel because the control arms are so close to the springs then.

I got a 2 inch and I wouldnt go even a half in higher because that control arm sure goes at an angle. And Flexing the suspension in a ditch one time it hit the spring at full extension.

I can only imagine how bad a 3 inch would be. O_O

Yeah it sits nose high. I eventually put an add-a-leaf in and fixed that. I actually like the ride with an aal in there. Its much firmer (not stiff... firm). If you don't want anything on the front, or even if you do plan on a grill guard (most dont weigh that much unless you go with a ranchhand or full replacement bumper) go with a 2" level kit. I got the 3" not knowing much about them and wanting the most lift I could get, which worked out in the end, bc my angles aren't that bad with my grill guard and winch on there.

Here's a pic of the angles when it just had stock wheel/tires and the level kit:

I have actually never had a problem with the level kit. I experienced bind once when I turned too sharply while in 4wd. I quickly corrected and have no issues. I have also seen trucks with 37"+ tires with the same and worse angles.

Control arm with wheel at full **** (it looks worse here than it really is, bc when the truck is turned full **** it pushes the suspension down a little bit)

Here's another for ya:

but the bumper is attached directly to the frame through the hitch, so when you cut the hitch (to keep it at the same height as the frame) and raise the bumper 3" with the lift blocks, its basically there for the cosmetics and cannot handle any real weight bc only the lift blocks are supporting it and not the frame. if that makes sense.

This is with the factory tow package and not sure if it is the same or differs with an aftermarket hitch.

its not that big of a deal b/c you can only tow like 500 pounds with the bumper.
Can the bumper still handle the weight of a person then? Like...can you use it to get in and out of the bed?

yeah you can put a lot of weight on it, its just that you don't want like 500 pounds on there and you really dont want to be pulling anything from the bumper... Just use the the tow hitch.... Basically think of it as (tho not this extreme) as wrapping a string around a pencil and pulling a weight across the floor, while you hold only the top and bottom of the pencil. Yeah.... Think of that pencil as your body lift blocks on the bumper... Again, not nearly that extreme, but you get the point

I paid like 470 for mine through the local shop here - was supposed to be like 370 (the shop had been fabbing brackets for the bumpers and such for my year model) and the extra 100 dollars was 100 dollars worth of brackets, lol... I like it. I genuinely think its the most economical lift you can do, but I really wish I had done suspension first... Oh well, I'll get a susp lift soon enough

Whats wrong w/ BLs? And no I sold them for wayyyyyyy under price... I had a concussion and wasn't really thinking right when I told him the price. I feel like such an idiot... I was also under the impression at the time that I couldnt run anything wider than a 285s on the stock 20s which wasn't gonna cut it for me
