when i did mine I did High heat duplicolor... I think it actually says something about engine block paint, but i knew it was high heat. I also put two coats of high heat clear coat on them two. I've since went to a single side exhaust but to my suprise out of everything i've painted on the truck myself, the tail pipes lasted until they went into the garbage. If you have side exits be careful because they get hit alot by rocks and such

Same here i sanded mine as well. I painted all the where it humps over the rear and stopped. If I had to do it over again man and suggest you doing. just go all the way to the muffler. I mean whats it 5 more feet? and looks cleaner and will def help prevent rust. If not def go to the rear end because you can see the piping up to that and yours really sticks out b/c the rest of the truck looks so good haha. Like your frame looks really good and all that so def paint wherever you see

Its only been a day and had rain last night. Went and looked at them this morning they look good. Ill probably clean them up every month or so and give them a new coat of the paint just to keep them looking good.
