color code?

i have a 2005 and the window sticker said the color was "dark stone." I have been wanting to paint the outer chrome edging of my grille the same color as my truck. i went to duplicolor and they only have this color in a touch up pen or something like that. Anywhere else where i can find the right color paint? i believe duplicolor had it listed as "charcoal beige." is this the same? just kind of confused here..

Get the paint code from your door and enter in a place like http://www.paintscratch.com/ to be sure.

FWIW, I don't see any "Dark Stone" paints under the searched results for 05 F-Series.

Im in the same boat as you wondering how I can get some PTM spray paint. Dark Stone doesnt seem to be carried much of anywhere.

Have you tried automotivetouchup.com? I don't know if you were trying to stay local or not, but I found a place in Amarillo that will mix up my paint CHEAP. everywhere in Lubbock i tried I was getting quotes of 180-360 dollars and the place is very reputable and offered it for 58 for paint and the metallic so you might try shopping around locally, the auto parts store should be able to point you in the right direction if that's the way you are looking to go. you'd need the gun though, one here in Lubbock would actually put it in aerosol cans but their prices were way out of my range they should also be able to tell you if the places have the machines to do that.

I also have T7 or Charcoal Beige. Also listed at the dealer as "dark stone". http://www.paintscratch.com is your best bet.
