DDM hid problem help

Got the rest of my hid kit Friday fogs were on back order went home got in the garage and got them installed and wired up per the instructions sent but as soon as I connect the lights to the battery boom lights come on thats weird keys are on the kitchen counter so I go get them open the truck and see where my light switch is. OFF ok so I unhook the lights see if I have something wrong everything is wired right plugs are all good so I take out the hids and put my other bulbs back in. Am I missing something that I just havent thought about am I missing a relay or did I order the wrong kit I didnt get the Hi/Lo kit because I never use my Hi beams and I figured the hids would be bright enough was that my mistake Please guys that have installed these before help me out I would appreciate it Thanks in advance.

Alright, just to get this straight.

-You ordered fogs and headlight kits, but the fogs are on back order
-You installed your headlight kit, which is a single xenon (instead of bixenon).
-You installed the kit, but the lights came on, even though the switch was in the OFF position
-You checked connections, everything was fine, but decided to put your old bulbs back in (which I take didn't light up.)

That right?

How does your kit look? Is it a 9008 female connector that goes to the ballast box, this then had 2 outgoing wires that end in tube connectors. These connect to the bulb. Basically, they connect from the factory plugs -> ballast box -> bulb? It didn't come with any sort of relay that connects to the battery, right?

If the switch was in the OFF position, and it was connected as described above, I don't see where else it could be getting power from to turn on? Unless you somehow had the MFS (turn signal lever) pulled back, but then your halogen bulbs would have illuminated...

You are right except the factory plug does not go back on anywhere and when I put my factory bulbs back in everything worked as normal I connected the hids again and moved my MFS to make sure that wasnt the problem but no matter brights on off the lights stayed on.
I ordered the DDM slim kit 35w which comes with bulbs which have two wires with connectors different types to make it idiot proof one female one male, a ballast with a 9008 plug(female) and two wires going to a relay box of some sort with two wires out of that, that go to the bulbs one wire with a female plug one wire with a male plug, then the 9008 male plug that conects into the ballast with two wires one for your ground one for your power to connect to the positive terminal of the battery. As soon as I make contact with te battery terminal boom let there be light and wont shut off

It looks something like this, right?

The part I circled should be an H13/9008 female connector. Connect that to your OEM connector.

Is it the exact one I circled, or an H13 female connector? So you don't have the connector that follows the orange line? How are you connecting to the ballast?

hey man i have the same kit and i ordered. i think i might know where your problem is the two wires that have pins. it has a red pin and a black pin. what you have to do is connect those to the headlight plug if you are looking at the plug the middle one is the ground and the one right to it is the low beam power. i think you were trying to connect it straight to the battery and thats why the lights cut on with the switch being on. but connect those two wires to the headlight harness. i used t-taps because the pins would not fit inside the plug and electrical tapped it.

That's what it sounds like the problem is. Never did understand why DDM can't include a proper female connector to connect to the OEM male connector, instead of just having little "spades."

I've heard of the DDM kits with the spade ends before but are the spades just on DDM's kit, or is the Raptor kit the same way? I was going to order my hids soon and am stuck between which kit to get.

Less glare to oncoming traffic (not that 35W doesn't glare, but you get what I'm saying).

My DDM H10's had the pins without the connecter. They slid right into the OEM connecter. I taped them up. Works great.

My headlights had a connector, but I have the bixenon H13 kit.
