i ordered one a few days ago and received it today. i seem to be having problems installing mine or it does not fit. i have an 04 fx4 and it wont screw completely in so you can still see the screw when it goes as far in as it will go. am i doing this wrong? as of right now i think im going to need to make a return. great product though very well made. too badn't it didn't turn out for the better

This is what I did.
I used the thin threaded stem. Allen keyed the stem into the stubby antenna as far as it would go. Then compared the stubby to the original antenna. They were exactly the same length. Then I screwed the stubby onto the truck base turned as tight as I could with my hand.

Good advice powerz69. Of course, if anyone is having fitment problems I do want to know and will certainly take a return.

How did it work out 04Fx4KM21?

tried powerz method yesterday and when i compared the two the stubby was still longer than the stock antenna making it so it would not sit flush with the truck. As dissapointing as it is i'm going to have to return it.
