Best tint brands?

I am thinking about having my front windows tinted to match the factory tint. Are there any particular brands of tint or color shades that I should be looking for. I want something done that will not fade over time and is of the highest quality.

I have heard of 3M and Llumar, but is one particularly better than the other. I am looking to figure this out before my off day on Thursday so I will have plenty of time to figure out where I want to get this done.

I've always had Llumar, the company that puts them on my truck has a guarantee on them as long as I own the truck, and that's good enough for me! Never had a problem with Llumar anyways though....Go with 20% to match the back privacy glass (stock privacy glass is 18%). Check out my album for pics of my tint! It should give you a pretty good idea considering our trucks are almost identical!!! I would also go with the 5% eyebrow for the front windshield, I always thought they were stupid but my friend got one in his truck and after riding around for a weekend with him I really noticed the difference!!! Bye, bye, front visors, won't be needing you anymore!!

The different brands have different abilities/statistics when it comes to Safety, UV protection, Color, Longevity, Heat Blockage, etc. Pick the one to buy based on your preferences in those categories.

Check out tintbuyer.com you can learn a lot about the different brands and where to get them installed.

Llumar is what I just had put on my truck. It was 20% to match the back glass and looks great IMO.

Stick with Llumar. I've had Llumar tint on my 96 Impala SS for over 14 years now and it has not faded a day.

The brand of tint (as long as it is one of the major companies) isn't as important as the type in my opinion. There is dyed film, metallic film, etc etc. Some are slightly green, some are charcoal black like factory. Don't go with the cheapest quote, as them what holds up the best (scratch resistance is important too) and will match the best.

15-20% will match the rear windows pretty nicely.

Llumar is an excellent brand but so is 3M. What really matters though is the Ply,1 ply, 2 ply or 3ply. Ply is the layers of film in the tint. 2 ply being 2 layers of tint and 3 being 3 layers. I have 2 ply and it is great. 3 ply is great but also a little more cost wise.
