I am thinking of getting my bumpers PTM also (they are chrome). What about those clear film paint protectors that they sell for the front bumpers? Has anyone tried these to protect the paint and how well do they work? It looks almost like a clear window tint material and covers the front of the bumpers.

 

Here is a link to the Invisible Mask brand. A little pricey though, just wanted to show what I was talking about. I did a search for the 2006 F-150. They also make pieces for other parts of the body as well.
