Hella Products?

I noticed Hella is the sponser of the Appearance Products forum, and they have ads all over the F150online website pushing their light upgrades. I have their LED tails and 3rd brake light which work great. I plan on purchasing the grille with the driving lights really soon.

I had originally planned on purchasing the blackout headlights a while back, but due to all the complaints, I decided to hold off. Do you think they addressed the issues, and that's why they feel comfortable pushing the product on the largest F150 forum? Or do you think they have a lot of faulty products they need to get money for?

Are there any of yall that have Hella headlights and haven't had any issues?

A word of caution on their grille. My coworker recently bought this and put it on his FX2. It comes with a gloss black surround. He decided to remove the surround and use his own. Now his hood does not close all the way, he has about a 1 inch gap above his headlights. Im not sure if it is because of the grille or the surround or what. All I know is it looks like $&!#. Lucky for me though I got his FX2 grille for 50 bucks!!

I have their headlights, had for close to year I guess.
No problems so far! In my experience, they make a good product,
and they are easy to work with!

That's kinda scary. I'm gonna say it was probably an install mistake. Maybe he didn't bolt the grille surround back right. I know two members on here have the grille without an issue, and have seen one in person, which looked awesome. I really hope I don't have the same issue as your coworker.

Good to know. I'm sure there are more people without problems than people with problems. It's just the few that posted their issues that got me worried. I really like the way they look. I might see if someone can photoshop them on my truck for me. I like the contrast of the OEM chrome against the black, but the Hella blackouts will probably look good too. I had considered the FX2 headlights as well, due to all the trim on my FX4, and my DSG bottom.

From what I understand, they was a bad batch that didn't seal right. But that was a couple years ago. I think that anyone who bought their set during that time period got them replaced for free.
But like I said, mine have held up great!
Be sure to post pics, if you get something.

What were your issues? Leaking?

How long does the warranty last? 1 Year?

Thanks

Yes, 1st set leaked and seem to peel from the inside. 2nd set just leaked. This last set seems to be holing up very well. I bought mine from BuyAutoTruckAccessories.com and they have been very helpful in getting me replacement sets. Yes 1yr warranty
