Ive got an 04 stx flareside, and im wondering if any of you have seen those kits that remove those ugly upper tiedowns?... Also, has anybody painted their steps, mine are faded from the sun, and you can only put on so much back to black.

 

i dont know what upper teidowns are. im assuming you mean those 3 little things that pop out on the truck. 3 on each side? dont know so bare with me hah as for the painting read this.

id assume it would be just like the bed caps. but i dont know for sure.

i think it is a company named Steeda that makes those billet caps to replace the tie downs, im not a fan of them as they are billet and say steeda or ford all over them.

 

i saw the for ones.... i was thinking of painting them the same color as the caps... and having patriot do some crome inlays for them

 

I had mine PTM black with the truck. Also the step side closest to the cab. Going to have the rear ones and the bumpers cap done as well. Ill post pics when I'm on a computer
