I think GPS answers five questions simultaneously:

"Where am I?"
"Where am I going?"
"Where are you?"
"What's the best way to get there?
"When will I get there?"

You need a GPS to find your own house?

Why are you acting like GPS is some new cool technology?

I got a tomtom for christmas a few yrs back. Everytime I need it, it's sitting on the kitchen counter... last time i used it in Austin, it lead me down an easy tag only street so I just had to bust thru all the tolls. I got a ticket about 6 weeks later, damn tomtom!

My tomtom says..."when I grow up I wanna be a Pioneer like LonestarRob"

I have a Garmin 255 W and I love it! I'd wouldn't be able to find my way out of my driveway without it.

What if you're on a long trip and need a hospital real quick, or gas or something to eat or... etc.,etc., ? I wouldn't be without one if they cost 5X what they do... matter of fact my 1st one did, only about 3&1/2 yrs ago. They are magic as far as I'm concerned.

Got a TomTom but will also have a Droid (cell phone) when Iget home. The auto-only GPS devices definitely need constant updating. I almost had my TomTom take me into a wall on a closed off ramp.

Ya. By far the tom toms are the least accurate. My dad had a tom tom before his garmin and it took us 2 hours longer to get home. lol. I have a Magellan that I got for xmas and i love it except that you can barely customize anything.
