I know on my 04, I bought one of Ebay that was a close match to my Roush. The lower bumper area changed I want to say in 05 or 06 and the sizes are smaller on the newer ones IIRC. I had a black plastic netting type inserts that was part of the bumper and the grille mounts over it and has 2 bolts that secure to it through the holes in the hard plastic mesh type piece. Very simple. Depending on your choice of grille, FOMoCo466 does a great job on the lower grilles. I know he does the Fx2 ones and the Roush ones so maybe search for his profile and get in touch with him. Hope that helps

I have an xlt. The black plastic is part of the bumper design. Its on the edges of the lower opening.

Sorry to thread-jack but,

Does anyone have any idea what that part is called? Or would have a part number by chance? I've been wanting to get my hands on one, but for some reason no body seems to know what I'm talking about when I don't know what the part is called...

Thanks!

Thanks for the plug

My lower grilles don't mount to anything but the truck... infact, IF you have a lower insert already, I tell you to take it out when intalling one of my grilles as they fill in the entire opening. My grilles use brackets that I custom make for the truck that use stock mounting holes already in the truck so there is no drilling or modding the truck needed, except removal of the lower insert if already there.

check my pics

Trotsky held the ketchup bottle in his hand and dispensed some of the thick sticky red paste into the bend of his plate, before picking a fire, dipping it in the tomato ketchup and plucking it into his mouth, while saying:
