patriot decals

OK so i got overlays and wanting to put them on but want to paint the chrome white the color of my truck so i am asking what kind of paint should i use and do i need to scuff it up first and do i need a primer? i am painting only the back tailgate ford emblem and all three f150 emblems. then i will put the over lay over what i painted.

I would sand it with some like 600-800grit sandpaper after you taped it all off, (if you're leaving it on the truck) and use either a adhesion promoter with Krylon fusion paint for plastic (great stuff ).... I would possibly put a clear coat on it I don't know what brand to use though maybe someone will chime on what to use
