PTM project?
What about it?? You can do the light bar and not everything else but you could get a new bumper valence and grille for around 200-300 I think raptor will tell you for sure. The the rest can be for the light bar
Hmm alright.. I was asking if yall thought I could pull of the bumper and all that stuff for under $500. When you said $300 just for a light bar I began wonder if I should worry about it right now. I definitely wanna do the ptm bumpers. I can sandblast the front bumper I have for free, and paint it for free. Question is.. do I want fog lights?
I kinda like the idea of having a different front end on there, and even a different grille but I would have to wait to be able to afford that stuff and I dont like waiting haha.

yea that would be sweet but any way you go will be better than now. if you keep your 98 bumper then delete the rubber trim piece before its painted.
also why need fog lights in the bumper when you can run two of the lights on the light bar as driving lights like i do. you can only run 4 lights at a time in texas

it was fun when i did it. i really want to have the time and tools to make my lightbar into a bumper. would look so awesome haha
since your gonna be blasting it and painting it you can just use some body filler and fill the holes it uses to mount and sand it smooth.

Hmm.. dont you think the pad would add some contrast to it though? Idk I would have to see what it looks like gone.. and in blue.
true it might add some good contrast but if your keeping the bumper and doing the lightbar your gonna want to delete it. it gets in the way of the light bar and the bar mounts where that piece is. the black bar will give enough contrast
Hmm guesss Ill have to cross that road when I get there. You kept yours on didnt you? I like the way yours looks.
I know of a "etching/blasting" place where it says they do powercoating and what not. I wonder how much they would charge me to do my bumper. I need to replace my rear bumper because it has a dent from where I was rear ended. So maybe I can find a cheap painted one and scrap the one I have.. idk.
