so i just sprayed my first coat of rustoleum window tint on my tail lights. it looks a little darker in some spots than in others but i figure with a second coat, things should blend a little better.

MY QUESTION IS.......

how long until i recoat it?

the directions say "recoat within 1 hour or 24 hours"....whaaa? so does that mean i recoat anytime under an hour so like 20 mins? or after an hour? HELP THANKS

 

I usually wait 10 or so minutes. Just long enough for it to dry some but not completely.

 

alright well i did two coats on the tail lights. how long until i can spray the clear coat over it?

 

Same amount of time? Lay down a few coats so you'll be able to sand and buff the clear to get it shiny.

so everything is dried up and the lights are back on the truck but i want to put another coat over them. can i do this even though i have already put 2 coats of clear gloss over them? would i just sand it a little and then tint over the gloss?

 

I've done that with my tails and it went on fine. Just rough up the clear and prep it like you would if it was just the tail, and spray some more tint. Then clear over that.
