I Blacked-Out My Truck Today...

****New Pics On Page 2****
Well The Underside At Least. After seeing b2therad's thread on using Rustoleum on his Rear Axle and such I decided today that I would Do It Myself. Except that I 1 upped him. I got some Rubber Undercoating in a 4 liter can and some more in aerosol cans and some rust paint (all they had was flat black) and got busy. And it was a VERY messy process. I just hope it turns out alright because it was very sloppy stuff to work with. I did the Frame, Cross-bars, gas tank etc. today and am going to do the rest (underneath entire truck cab and box, Rust paint the rear axle and hitch, and driveshaft etc) maybe tommorrow if i get a chance. Since I am not done yet I am only going to post the before pic's for now and post the pics of the finished product once i am done. So here are the before pics.

As long as you remove any loose debris and rust, you will be just fine.

Looks like I got some competition . I still need to finish the underneath of mine. I have not found the time to go underneath there to clean all that mess to paint it though.

Your's should look good. Makes me want to finish mine.

Well I had to work tonight so i just got off and my dad is using the garage to work on the boat so I am not going to get to work on it tonight. Tomorrow I am missing school and going out of town for the day so hopefully I might get a chance to work on it when I get back tommorrow night.

Well Unfortunately I am not going to get anything done today either. It has been raining all day and the boat is still in the garage and staying there for now. Will Definitely get something done tomorrow afterschool and will take pics of where I am at.

Oh, and I was shocked today to see some Dupli-color touch up paint in factory ford dark Toreador Red while walking around canadian tire today. I grabbed and let's just say that all the scratches on my driver's side door will soon be no more!
