darker tint!

I have 5% in the back and 20% in the front(SCREW) my question is if I put a layer of 35% on top of the 20% percent will that make a big difference? I want it darker up front but not as dark as the back....will this work??

When I got my truck to 5%, the guy put 15% over the factory 20% to get to 5% so if thats what your looking for It would work. However, I would just take whatever tint you have off and put a fresh 5% down.

Is that legal in Nevada? I could never get away with it in Texas.

I have been pulled over twice for tint, both times by state troopers on 290 between Houston and Austin. (In two different trucks) My fronts are legal, but my backs are 5% over the factory tint, so I guess it makes the fronts look too dark. I was not ticketed because the fronts are only 35%, but I could have had a problem if they were not legal.

up front i have a layer of 15% on top of 5% and it looks "clean"

on the back windows i have 15% on top of 5% on top of factory 20%.. it's dark!

if you put 35% on top of 20% it will definitely be darker, GO FOR IT!

thanks guys!! but I got my truck with the tint already, if I put a layer of 35%(or 20%) would it match my 5% percent in the back??? of course it would be different shades but I mean in color???? lol...since I wont use the same tint that was used at first

well the guy who did mine (5% on front, 35% on windshield, 8% back & rear) said that putting 15% over 35% gave me 8%... so I would assume that would put you in the 10-15% range.. I absolutly love darker up front... you should consider doing your windshield as well.

You'll love it! plus I can still wear sunglasses if I choose, and I've had a sheriff ride with me and he never even noticed.

Edit: I think I had 20% on the back... so it was 15% over 20% giving me 8%.. so you would be around 15-18%

I thaught if I went with 20% over my 20% it would be like 4%????? isnt the method of figuring out like multiplying .20%X.20%=.04%???????
