powdercoating

powdercoating

i have chrome bumpers and im lookin to get them oxford white, wether i trade or powdercoat but can chrome be powdercoated?

Yes they can, fixin to have mine done white too. Do a search on powdercoating chrome.

They sandblast the chrome off to get bare metal then powdercoat them. Thats how it was explained to me while i was at the shop. Unfortunatly they couldnt match my paint.

If you know how, but why? Its not that expensive to do and to get it done by someone with more xp then you. It would probably cost more to rent the machines + buy the coating then worth the money you might save.

you can blast it yourself but as for coating you won't have a oven large enough to do a bumper.....I love powder coating things but one drawback is if you want to colour match it chances are it won't be bang on perfect like paint, just a heads up

if you look on your local craigslist and search powder coating you fill find tons of people around your area offering sand blasting and powder coating so if your looking for someone else to do I would start there and call and get some estimates see what you can come up with.
