I need a little help...Emblem

Allright, so I've been on here for a while reading and getting great ideas from all of you, some I have done, others I plan to do. But with this one, I don't know really where to go. I have been throwing around the idea of painting my emblems (or overlay, whichever), but #1 I don't know if its something that would work on my truck (as in look good) and #2 I don't really know how I should do it colorwise. So my question to ya'll is, Do you think it is a good idea and if yes, what color scheme?

Just for informational purposes: I originally was thinking the 2 tone Gold color for the letters and leaving the chrome, but I am worried that it will not work especially on the tailgate since I have the chrome bumbers and there is no gold on that part of the truck...it might seem out of place. So, there you go, I am open to any opinions on any other things ya'll might suggest in reguard to appearance. Thanks!

Here are some picture so you have somthing to go on...

I would paint them black and do color inlays the same color as the bottom of your truck....You can get the inlays pretty cheap at www.patriotdecals.com.

How did you do the chrome inlays?

Edit: Nevermind, I see you got them from Patriot Decals, just didn't see the chrome option right away.

I really like the thruck color with the chrome inlays. Where would be the best and cheapest place to get the exact factory color?

My next question is, Should I leave the Blue ovals alone or do the same, something different? I would like to keep them on, removing them for good is not going to be an option.

With your chrome bumpers and wheels I say leave them alone.

Everything. I don't think there's enough black on your truck. If you had black wheels or PTM bumpers maybe. That's just my opinion, though.

yeah complete black out was what I had in mind but didnt think it would look good with chrome bumpers so I decided on keeping some chrome just not as much thats why I went with the chrome inlays. It gave it a look apart from others I see around me but subtle not just anyone notices stuff like that. As far as getting the paint just get ur paint code and keep searching btw what is ur paint color or code?

I would paint then the same color as the lower half of your truck, i would actually leave the chrome and paint the inlay in the lower color. you can tape it off or spray it and put a rag with thinner over a soft sanding block to wipe access off of chrome. I have done both. You should be able to go to a automotive paint store and have them mix you a can of spray paint to the bottom factory color by paint code.

Ok, Thats the same color as mine I got my paint from www.automotivetouchup.com. I don't know if it is the cheapest but I was refered there by someone here so I ended up just getting 2-12oz cans that came out to little over $50.
