pics of nightshade!

well i finally got around to doing my tails and third brake light. I was gonna do a full writeup of it with pictures and everything but too be honest i didnt wanna compete with 05blackfx4
anyway heres a write up of the major things done

washed tails and 3rd BL with Palmolive dish soap and cool water
wet sanded with 600 grit and dried off
masked off clear back up lens and cut around with Xacto knife
sprayed tails and third with nightshade. i did 2 medium coats and 1 light coat
let dry 5 mins in between coats
wet sanded with 1000 grit and dried off
sprayed tails and third BL with 3M clear coat. i did 2 medium coats
let dry 10 mins in between coats
let dry 1 hr after final coat
wet sanded with 2000 grit and dried off
applied turtle wax rubbing compound and let sit for 10 mins before removing
Note: there was a haze on tails and 3rd BL after removing compound
used meguirars polish but hated the way it came out. it did not remove the haze (orange peel look) so i used 1 Grand polish and it came out butter
overall it took 9 hrs with my buddy and I and 24 pack of Caguama (Corona without the skunky aftertaste)
Pics:

Note: line in the tail is just a water spot (i just washed truck)

ive used a machine buffer on them with 1 grand and many other polishers and it wont do the trick. the tails have been in the sun for almost 7 years, so they were pretty faded and starting to show their age when i cleaned em up.

Very nice... I can tell that you spent quite a bit of time and elbow grease on your truck... Great look...
