Red face Performance Accessories Body Lift

Anyone ever put a 3 in body lift on on a 99 f150 yet? Ive had a brand new lift sitting here for over a month and have heard that its a bitch to put it on.. In fact there was a 4x4 place close by who quoted me 1100 bucks to put the body lift i have on along with my rcd suspension lift. i thought 1100 bucks was highway robbery and already installed the suspension lift on my own. the body lift is sitting over here and i would love a lil bit more ya know.. so sound off lemme hear it all. my truck is extended cab too by the way..

I've put a body lift on a 96 f150 wasn't that bad and if you could put suspension lift on, the body lift ain't going to be that bad. I say go for it on your own.

only thing im worried about is having to pull up carpet and take back seat out of the cab for the bolts? i wonder how long it will take someone to accomplish, plus what would i use to get the cab and or bed lifted up to place spacers in between them?

You do have to take out the back seats I believe. You would use a jack to lift the body off the frame to put the spacers in. Do a search, lots of info on body lifts for our year trucks (97-03).

Yes sir.. I have one on my 98. Same thing.. same lift. You will have to take out the intake, rear seat, bumpers, radiator, bed bolts, fold the carpet back to expose cab bolts, power steering cooler, trans cooler, unhook steering and strap the steering wheel, unhook gas tank filler, extend shifter(if standard), .. thats about all I can think off of of the top of my head. Alot of people have done them, and I have pictures of where all the cab bolts are... all that mess. I took alot of pictures while doing it. Here is a pic of my truck after I did it.

If you need to know anything just ask. The instructions are pretty thorough. I would never pay someone to put a body lift on a 97-03.. or a suspension lift for that matter.
