Yea I painted it. It was really looking bad. I just used krylon fusion black satin and it was cheap, easy and very worth it.

I did a thread called weekend facelift and it has before and after pics on it if you want

I painted mine too. Makes the stock grill look 100x better.

I'm pretty sure they don't make one for the 2wd. For the 97-98 models the 2wd bumper was pretty plain. No option for fogs either on the 2wd. You may just want to pick up the 4wd bumper and get the fogs and tow hooks

Its mainly a different shape on the outside.it would just look as if the truck had 4wd from the factory but give you fogs and tow hooks

alright. i called the balck horse company about the brush guard and they said it fits.

so now i want yalls opinion of how it would look mounted through two holes that i cut in the valance panel.

is there anyone on this site that has put ANYTHING on the front end of a 97-98 2wd?

it mounts to the frame so i assume it goes through the valance to the frame rails. but since i don't have a valance with tow hook holes then i would have to make some and i don't want it to look wierd,.

no offense b2therad but i don't like the one you have. i want one that is more like the westin sportsmans series not the one on your truck

None taken. Mine was mainly to show you that you can cut holes in the valance without it looking wierd. You cant even see that there are holes in mine unless you get under the truck.

I'd say it'll look fine with holes in the valence just make the just big enough for the guard to fit. And if you mess up a new valence is only like $30
