Vent Visor gummy stuff - how do I get it off?

So I finally took the vent visors off my truck (they were driving my nuts - cracking and stuff) but it left this gummy residue that I can't seem to get off efficiently.

So far I've tried : WD-40,Acetone, Penetrating oil, rubbing compound (to take off the last bit), and liquid wrench.

I was afraid to use a heat gun because I was afraid of baking the stuff on my paint.

Any tips yall have would be greatly appreciated!

I just dealt with this on some really bad gummy glue on dash. I tried acetone, alcohol and everything else.

I have something called Citrol. It is an orange smelling bio degradable degreaser that broke it up and got it right off. Some Goo Gone will do it as well. See if you can find that sort of thing. The Citrol has never failed me in getting gummy tape glue off or any thing that is really sticky or gummy. Good luck.

Another option is a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I know it sounds stupid, but came in handy for me. I removed some window tint that was 7 years old and I couldn't find anything to get the glue from the film off. The window was literally covered in the stuff to the point where I couldn't see out of them, and rolling the window down would only get the stuff all over my weather seal. A big mess. But the Magic Eraser took it off in under 5 mins.

And another option is naptha (lighter fluid). Just dampen a soft cloth with it and wipe off the residue.

I had a Chevrolet...for a short time, and I found some stickers that covered the Air bag crap. It was the bowtie, it looked pretty good b/c it was right side up whether it was flipped down or in the up position. I can't remember where I got them from though. Anybody know of a place to buy such a thing?
