Thanks for all the pics guys.. I think I might put 5% over the rear windows and just leave the front tint matching the original back tint. I think that will look good and dark. I don't think it will be to dark tho....

15% over the factory 18% in the rear....originally had 15% on the front windows as well...wasn't dark enough because of the size of our front windshields letting in lots of light; looked like I had 35% on the front...so I put another layer of 15% over the 15% already on the fronts....

Also should note you cant see in during daylight unless your at the right angle...and at night, good luck, cant see in standing next to the window...also have to roll them down to backup lol

Those tinted windows look flawless. Very good job... Is it difficult to install?

I paid to have it done...160 first go round, 30 for windshield strip and then another 60 for second layer of 15. Window tint is one of the things I just wont do myself...have tried it in the past and its just too easy to F up.

Agreed. I tried by myself and it came out rancid. My front two ran me $60...the tint guy said it'd only be another $60 for 5% over factory rear windows and a 5% strip

Ok. So my fronts are already matched to my rears. I want my fronts to be around 8% and my rears around 5 %. What would I want to put over these to make them these? Thanks

If you do a layer of 50% on the fronts it will bring you to around 9% total....35% would be better IMO and will bring you to around 6.3% if your front windows are 18% like you stated (factory tint level)

For the backs they are stock at 18% if you do a layer of 35% over it it will be
~6% and if you did 20% it would be 3.6%

I would go darker...I have 15% over my back window...just dark enough.

Keep in mind with the front windshield as big as it is it is going to let a lot more light in than a standard car so the tint will appear lighter

If I were to put tint across the whole front windshield, what percent would make a difference, but not be too noticeable from outside? I have a drop down piece that is 5%

If it's going to be effective, it will be noticeable from the outside. But the most stealth setup in my opinion, is 50% across entire windshield and two 5% brows over that. Just make sure you take it to somebody that knows what they're doing and make sure it's quality tint (i.e. Llumar.) Because if your tint starts to turn purple or bubble, it can make it extremely hard to drive safely.

if I was doing windshield I would go with 50%

35% is the lowest you should go, and you are going to hate wearing sunglasses as it will look like a rainbow

Anyone have any suggestions on tint brand for doing it yourself and where to find it? I've done it before in the past on my other cars, but i don't want to get some cheap brand and have my windows turning purple. Thanks.
