nite shades ?

Ok i followed the instructions in the how to apply nite shades post here but have a problem. I got some really hazy lights. They look good in spots but some other spots are solid black. Is my can of nite shades too old or is there something I could've done wrong. Any ideas on on how to fix this. I sanded them back to red once already and got the same result the second time too.

sounds like you didnt apply multiple light / even coats. when using Niteshades you MUST be very patient!

yep sounds like the coats aren't even. just go from left to right over the whole thing about once or twice. even if it looks like the coats are too thin for the first couple just keep doing the same untill they begin to build up.

Yes definitely even coats and make sure you give your lights a good clean before you spray them. That might be why they arent coming out as crisp as you want them to either.

with the darker spots you can wetsand them and take some of the paint off...just use 1500 grit.

Do multiple light coats...I did several light coats and let them dry for 30 minutes between coats then wetsanded between coats. For the clearcoat make sure you let them dry then wetsand the first coat...add a second heavy coat and let dry overnight before sanding.
