Hella Black Headlights

Has anyone had a problem with them filling with water or fogging up. When I first put mine on they fogged up after I washed the truck or it rained. So I took them off for a wile and sealed the seem with silicone and put them back on. They did fine for a while, but one day we got about 2 inches of rain in 1/2 an hour, and I had a 1/2 inch of water in the left headlight the next day. Is there anything I can do to fix it, and I have only been having the problem with the left light. Also the clear coat is coming off of both lights. Ive got the stockers back in for now.... I hate them.

Yea :-(

I have Hella Blackouts on my truck, and although I think they look good, one of mine leaked when it was brand new also. Then began the big back and forth bunch of crap between "Auto Anything" and myself. I ended up giving up on that place, without ever getting my light replaced..... but will never give them any business again.

I then sealed my leaking headlight with some kind of epoxy my buddy gave me. That was almost 1 year ago, and it's never leaked since (knock on wood).
And if it would take "2 inches of rain in 1/2 an hour" to make it leak, I guess I don't have anything to worry about, as I don't think it's EVER rained that much, that fast where I live :-)

Peace,
Fish

Same problem, Hella wouldn't do a dam thing for me. My lights filled up around 4 cups of water and had to be vacuumed out. I will never buy a Hella product again. I left 4 messages for the Rep at Hella and he never returned one of my calls. Talk about bad business!
