Thumbs up Emblem Dilema solve

Thanks to the replies, I have painted the emblems, a darker grey than my rig. My truck is silver and I painted them a dark grey, not satisfied, so I ordered the new 09 emblems, which will be in by wed. I have pictures of the painted emblems. I will post pics of both painted and the new 09s this upcoming weekend. Thanks for all the help.

I just did this project, changing out my 08 emblems for customized 09 emblems.

As a heads up I want to let you know there is one problem. The 09 tailgate emblem has alignment clips as opposed to alignment pins. At first I thought about just shaving the clips and aligning the emblem manually. BUT, here's the worst part of it. The 09 tailgate emblem is also contoured, unlike the 08 tailgate emblem which is flat all around. This will create a gap between the emblem and the paint. I considered using bondo and sanding it down to the correct "flatness" but that's too much work lol.

The 09 emblems for over the wheel wells are no problem luckily. Good luck!

you need to order the tail gate badges for the flareside, they are flat.
