Which grill guard should I buy for a 2006 f-150
Which grill guard should I buy for a 2006 f-150
I have a 2006 F150 4x4... I can't decide between the Westin Sportsman 1-piece, or the Aries grill guard. Any pictures of this year model with either of these grill guards would be greatly appreciated.
Hi
I too am looking at getting a brush/grille guard and matching Tail light Guards.
Here's some pictures of the black powder coat versions from Aries:

I talked with the guys at Line-X and they at first recommended that I don't get the black powder coat because I live in Wisconsin and with the salt that we get inw inter any scratches would lead to rust relatively quick.
I was browsing the f150online forums when I started looking and before making an account here and found a guy who had his brush guard sprayed with the Line-X bed liner to keep it black but also make it nearly invulnerable to wear. After speaking with the guy at Line-X he said that purchase/spray/install of everything would be about $1100, about 750 for the Brushguard and about 350 for the Tail Light Guards.
Just thought I would mention that I have heard that the Aries guards are well built and with Westin you pay a bit more for the name on it.

Well I have never seen an aries in person, but I have seen a westin sportsmen and I definitely like that one. Very clean looking, tucks right into the truck, I use to have one on another vehicle and loved it.
