Chromed Emblems

Ok, so I decided to chrome the emblems on my 2001 XLT. I used aircraft stripper on them after I removed them from the truck. However, if you decide to do it my way, you must use extreme caution with the aircraft stripper as it's very volatile. It will strip your paint in seconds, and burn your skin quite bad. Has anybody else on here chromed them? If so, post your pics. Here's some pics of how mine came out:

Looks great! Easy and basically "free" mod - here's mine:





(don't mind how dirty the truck is - I washed/clayed/waxed AFTER the pics)

i tried it along time ogo on my maroon truck and it didnt work aircraft stripper at that. i geuss the werent good contestants to start with tho. plan and gettin a newer set and try again. maybe acetone this time

thanks guys. oh and wrobo23, you have an F-250? do you have a f150 as well?

i did that to mine with acetone! looks great

I did mine with acetone then installed the red f150 on this truck. My 2002 screw I did this on and they do look better. Good job everyone.
