i saw a guy that put red line-x on his OEM chrome bumper and chrome step bar. it looked good but it didnt quite match the paint on the rest of the car. i would look good in black as long as you make sure to get it dark enough to match ur oem paint (if ur truck is black, that is)

it says that you have an FX4. i thot all fx4s had black step bars? just curious

I went cheap and hurculined mine. I sanded down the chrome ones real good and put 3 coats of hurculiner on em. Its lasted 2+ years now without peeling. I even did the plastic steps and caps while on the bars. The bars look like one piece bars.

I did mine, but it peeled due to the fact we did not sandblast 1st. So it is being re-done. With the proper prep you should not have any issues.

The color match is not quite spot on, but since it is a touch darker, It does not look bad

I have black ones and they are scratched pretty good. i am thinking of cleaning them well and seeing how much they will charge to line X them. I think that it would hold up better than the paint/powder
