I have a 2007 silver F 150 XL with chrome bumpers but my upper bumper cover is textured black. I was wondering if you could paint that and it stick and not look bad. If anyone has done this please post pics.

 

I just bought a used painted upper bumper cover from eBay for $65 and repainted it.

 

IIRC you need the smooth version of the bumper pad to PTM

 

You would have to sand it down with like 180, spray with plastic adhesion promotor, then spray a high build primer, then sand, and bc/cc it.

It would be cheaper in the long run to find a painted one and have it repainted to matdh your truck.
