06 SCREW Foglights problems

I have a 06 Screw with the round foglights.I had both of them replaced under warranty in Febuary because everytime it rained or I washed it they would fill up with water.I have the same problem again but now it's worse, have tried to take them back but now I'm out of warranty I was told by dealer to wait till they dry out and some more clear sealent around them and that should fix the problem.Well I tried that and it did not work it rained again Sunday and once again they are half full of water about 2 inches of standing water in them now.I was now told by dealer to drill a small hole in them so the water can drain and that would fix all future problems.ANY SUGGESTIONS?

When did you have them replaced under warranty? How long has it been since they were replaced? Normally, the dealer will give you a warranty on the item(s) replaced. If it has been a reasonable time since replacement, I would contact the service manager of your local dealer and see what can be done. If the dealer is unwilling, contact Ford and see what they can do. Now, I am assuming the dealer you are working with now replaced the lights under warranty? If they are not, that may be the reason they don't want to deal with you. If all that fails, you are sort of stuck - either buy a another set, or drill the hole. It seems you shouldn't have to do that, but......

Good luck.

i say heat them up take them apart, take all the old sealant out and then reseal the sh*t outta them!! before you start drilling holes.

I would have to agree with that if you go that route, But I sure would raise some hell first with them being less than two months old.

What a great stealership
