If you had a 1932 Cadillac V-16 Sport Phaeton that was completely original, never had a scratch, and a deer hit you then you would care. Sure insurance is going to fix it but would it be the same to you after that?

I guess it all depends on how much of a genuine passion you have for the iconic American love affair w/the automobile. Some people get it and some don't.

if i had a 1932 it would be insured for the value of the car, if i was driving it and hit a deer that would be my fault. anything can be fixed with deep enough pockets. i bought a truck to use, work, commute, and whatever else with. i love my truck, but to buy something and be afraid i hit a deer with it, is just downright silly. oh i get it, some people are just afraid of the unexpected. that's a crappy way to live. take life one ride at a time.

buy it. build it, to drive it, not be a little girl with it.

vintage iron and a truck than can be replaced with a stroke of a pen are 2 WAY different situations.

i guess some people think there trucks are priceless, lol
