Help a newbie

Okay, so right now I have an '01 extended cab f150 with 100,000 miles on it.
Time for a new truck, yes? Yes... so i was thinking about getting an '09 4-door f150, however my lack of knowledge about trucks is holding me back. If i get one, i have a certain look i would like.
So here's a few questions I have.

What is the best type of lift if I'm putting 24" rims on it?
I want it to look lifted and big, but I don't want it to make the rims looks small.
Basically, I don't want people riding in stock SUV's and trucks being able to see into my cab.

Also, I'm looking for a grill that's simple, yet looks nice.

As well as grills, rims, and lifts, I'm looking for some aftermarket taillights and headlights that look nice on white or black paint, plus a nice front bumper.

I was thinking something like this truck, but solid white on the oustide, with some of those 24" rims, black window tint, tan leather interior, possibly a sunroof, a 3" body lift to accent the 24" rims, and a grill similar to this one, but without the Ford emblem.

anyone have any ideas, or tips?
thank you
-Nick

Hi there...

I'm a newbie myself but I'm pretty sure that with a 3" lift you won't get the effect that others can't look in your cab

Or did I get something wrong?

if you want that big lifted look, and if you really want to be above the rest you are going to need more than just a 3 inch body. My truck has 6 1/2 inches of lift on it, and it still isn't massive. you would need to get the fabtech or pro-comp or rancho 6 or seven inch lift, and if you want to go all out, stack the body lift on top of that. then you will get the look i think you are looking for. then again thats just my opinion. and by the way, to make 24's look normal, you are gonna need a pretty big *** tire. probably a 36 or 37 just to make it look good and not, how do i say this gently, ghettoish

I was thinking the same thing Nate, perhaps a 6" suspension lift and then a 3" body lift, with some 24's on it.

I believe the truck you referred to in the pic has a 6 inch lift. Personally I would go with an 8 inch lift. Not too sure if there are any good lookin aftermarket grilles or heads/tails for the 09's because of them being so new.
