roll bar

hey I'm wanting to build my own roll bars but not real sure on what width to go with on the polls. I was thinking 3 in. or 4 in. any suggestions or tips on building?

are yall doing it for looks or functionality.

if you want it to work then you will need to mount it to the frame. and you will want to something stronger than just pipe. you will want DOM tubing.

if its just for looks and too add some lights on then the pipe will be fine.

here it is. i kinda went more towards a headache rack and left the roll bar idea. i wanted to do something a bit easier since i have never welded before and this would be my first project.
i went with 2in square pipe ..got 15ft for $35 so far i have spend about $55 on it total
i still plan on adding handles off the sides and am thinking of a way to make the lights swivel down or else i wont be able to fit in the garage lol
