Gap Guards

I have been looking through the hole under my truck bed as well as a large portion of my engine after I installed my 3" body lift and was wondering If anyone had any pointers on making gap guards? PA sells them for like 70 bucks and I know i could make them for less. Anyone know a good material? I was thinking about cutting pond lining or rubber matt to fit... any pointers?

Here's a pointer, buy the PA gap guards.

I was on the fence too like you are but after I recieved them I realized that they are worth the money.

Someone bent up some sheet metal and I thought that looked the best. Personally, if I get my hands on some, I'm going to try that. I think it was just for the rears though, as I'm not sure how it'd work for the fronts.

I have the PA guards and they the best thing out there. Granted, that's all I've really come across, so that isn't saying a whole lot No, but really, they are pretty nice for the somewhat steep (imho) price.

well I was at lowes today getting some painting stuff and I couldnt resist buying some pond lining. I will try it out and if it looks good ill post pics!

wrobo - i was thinking about sheet metal because my dad could do it for free at his work but im kinda scared it could come loose and jab my 300 dollar tire!

If the pond lining does not work ill go with PA.
