what kind of grill are you looking for billet, roush , HD ?

when you buy replacement grills , it replaces the honeycomb, unless you want a bolt-over , which look kinda cheesy imho

I was wondering what a Roush would look like with the chrome surround. Not too shabby. I really like the way that looks with the chrome bumpers, too. Thanks for the pic.

Thanks. My truck is a 'Chrome Edition' and for the record the grille is the Ford OEM Chrome Edition grille. It's the same as the Roush except it comes with the oval built in and flush with the bars. On the Roush there is no oval. You can retrofit your own but it clips on top of the grille so that it sticks out, is not flush.

Here's the PN for the CE grille: 7L3Z-820-BA and costs just under $300 here:

The Ford OEM grille includes and only comes with the chrome surround. The Roush, at about $200, does not include a surround.

I cut up a Roush for the bumper grille. I've searched high and low for months and could not find an after market match. (More on that in a moment). Then here on the forum I saw where another guy had cut up a Roush to make a lower and he was selling what was left. Someone else bought the left over to make their own. I had wrecked my truck at Christmas (it had a Roush grille then) and the current CE grille came from Ford for the repairs. Fortunately only the surround was damaged in the accident - not the Roush grille. So we mounted the new CE grille and cut up the Roush to build the lower grille. Then I too sold the remaining part to a guy in Dallas so he could build a lower. That's the only way I know to get a perfect match...

Now, American Billet Co. makes what they call a "Monster Billet Grille" that is close to the Roush - larger bars and wider gaps than typical billet - but it's not a perfect match. I had one of those on the truck at the time of the wreck. Still have it - and will sell it - but we used part of the mounting brackets for it to make the brackets for my custom made lower grille.

Sorry for the lengthy reply but that's the whole story. Right now the Roush grille is back at full price - about $200 bucks, so I suggest finding a buddy who also wants a lower grille and go together then half it. Pictures of the brackets we made are in my gallery.
