Can i use RTV Gasket Maker Silicone for headlights?

Hey guys i found rtv silicone but only Permatex Ultra Black Maximum Oil Resistance RTV Silicone Gasket Maker. The label says excellent adhesion and resistant to heat. I was told this would work by the guy at the store so i used it and my lights are drying right now. Now im having second thoughts about using it because i searched online and there are other rtv silicone sealants that arent gasket maker that i should have searched harder for. It was such a pain in the butt to bake lights, take apart and scrape old silicone off. Now please, PLEASE TELL ME THIS SHOULD WORK!!!

Just used it on mine. Was just using it as an extra layer of defense though too. Was the only RTV auto zone had and is what they recommended.

Got it from LORDCO here in vancouver bc. Lights have been drying for about 10 hours so far and the silicone seems to be drying really hard. Hope fully it does the job.
