Nitemare Grille

Has anyone bought and installed one of these.

How hard is it? Do you have to cut anything?

The ebay site doent say much, but i'm just wanting to know before i spend the money on it.

What would i need to get to make a matching bumper insert?

Do you have a link? I didn't know they were selling them. They look pretty sweet.

since it is roush, it will install easier than any other.

So is it just a roush grille painted black from factory? It will last much longer than the spray painted ones on here!

edit.....now that I pay attention..It looks nothing like the roush grille. roush only has 13 bars. This just looks like a powder coated billet grille. installation will be harder it looks like!

I finally had a chance to emailed the seller and they said it was a direct insert, that it didnt bolt over anything and there was no cutting involved.

it might just be me, but i dont think the grilles on the trucks match to the pic of the grille. the ones on the trucks look more like fx2 grilles.

There is a difference in the grille. I talked with Roush while I was looking for an FX2 style grille and the Nitemare grille they are selling is actually just the standard billet grille but it has been painted black. You DO have to drill holes into your factory shell in order to make it work. All the pictures of the actual Nitemare truck I've seen on Roush's site show what looks like an FX2 grille. I still think the best option for a dark colored grille is the FX2 grille or buy a Roush one and paint it.

Here is a link to the install instructions:

http://store.roushperformance.com/im...pdf/grille.pdf

That link shows the chrome billet grille but that is the instructions I was told to refer to for the installation of the Nitemare grille.

thanks for helping, i found a fx2 grille thats ptm. I'm not really a big chrome person, my truck only has chrome on the badges. I'm dont have to go for the blacked out theme thats just what i like. I like the look of the roush grille i just didnt want it to clash with what i had going and i really didnt want to go have anything painted. But i was looking for easy install and with the roush that would be and it cheaper. I'm glad we all caught that before i bought it and didnt like it.

If you wait around long enough you will eventually happen up on someone that has an FX2 grille for sale. I've only seen one on eBay the entire time I've been looking for one and it didn't last any length of time at all. I think someone hit the "buy it now" a few hours after I first seen it. The PTM one on eBay wasn't worth it to me. $200+ and then you still have to get it painted.

The chrome Roush grille is a very nice piece and I've seen quite a few people paint it. I would think that if you scuffed it up real good and took your time priming it that the paint would adhere pretty well.
