I am thinking of painting inside the tail lights, aka taking them apart like the headlights. Has anyone tried cracking the tail lights opened and do they come apart the same way? I was thinking of painting them black to make the tails darker without interfering with the reflectors on the outside. Basically I want to paint the chrome inner black except for the reverse light part. Anyone see any problems with this?

 

i read somewhere that someone did it on lightning taillights, so i guess it's possible but much harder to get them apart
