roush grill lower bracket

Ok guys , I've finally got a picture of my bracket behind my Roush lower grill . Its really a simple bracket . I was going to pop rivet it to my lower grill .but, It wasn't needed. Its been on my truck for approx. 8 months now with no problems . Sorry , for the delay.

Where were you two weeks ago?
Just got mine back outta the shop and we (Iuse that term loosely - the body shop guy) built a lower for me. He used some brackets I had from the previous lower insert grille made by American Billett and pop riveted the grille to the brackets. I dn't have any pics but I can try to shoot some in the next day or two if interested. Freezing rain expected here tonight.

Good looking truck 06 Sandstone!

OK - got under the truck today and here's a pic of the bracket made/used for my lower Roush grille. It uses to an existing bolt on the inside lower lip of the bumper (These are found either side of the license plate bracket mounting site) and is pop riveted to the vertical spar support of the Roush grille. Installed photo is in post above.

Does anyone have any tips or comments on how to go about making a bracket like these guys? Where would be a good place to pick one up?

I had thought about doing this mod awhile back.. but I couldn't ever really figure out how to fab something up.. these pictures help, but I'm curious as to how sturdy it is.. I wouldn't want it flapping around down there.

I can tell you mine is rock solid - flappin' in the breeze? Hardly! As you can see in the photo mine is just a simple 'L' bracket. The bottom uses the license plate bracket bolt to hold it in place and it's pop riveted to the vertical spar of the grille. If you can't pop rivet you could probably drill and use some small nuts and bolts.

I sold what was left of my grill to FreddyTran here on the forum and he says he has his just jammed into place with no problem. Says he hasn't had time to fab up a bracket but apparently doesn't need it. I've also heard of guys using plastic tie wraps to hold 'em in place. Not sure about that.

nice work

I just bought two more Roush grilles, just to cut up and make lowers out of. Then I'm going to make the brackets and then sell. Roush didn't do it so I will, lol
