HIDs and fog
HIDs and fog
Tried searching, and get tons of results for HID fog lights. What I'm wondering about is how HIDs do in fog or snow. Would the additional light output make them blinding in those conditions? Does anyone turn them off and just use fogs?
It all depends on the color temp. My 6000k fogs are great in the snow and rain, but TERRIBLE in the fog (we get fog so thick here you can barely see 10 ft in front of you). It just reflects off the fog, and creates a white wall in front of me.
Now a 3000k would perform much better in the fog. But doesn't look as sexy.

I am guilty as charged, we are do for 4-6 tonight this will be the first snow storm I have had them on in. I am excited to see how they preform. But for normal conditions I love the 6000k and don't think I would switch, the fog is not a big issue here.
