Paint badges black input

When u paint the badges do you use a clear coat? Does the tailgate oval
Paint the same as the badges?

Brah! personally if you go black badges, black everything out also. and go smoked ovals like mine, smoked ovals will match any truck color like tinted windows do. ALOHA!

If you're going to ptm everything, the last thing I would want are big black badges. That'll stick out like a sore thumb. I'd leave them all chrome with red inlays. Then something needs to be done with the running boards. Either accent them in red somehow or remove them or replace them with chrome tubular steps so all the chrome goes together.

to paint the badges:
scuff up the chrome with a scotch brite pad
spray 5-6 very light coats of krylon fusion, wait 2 minutes between coats so paint is still tacky
i didn't use clear coat on mine but you could if you want

...just had mine painted and removed the badges all together....only one left is the one on the grill. IMO itlooks cleaner without them.

I think the badges in black would be good but I also think its needs a set of black wheels and ptm everything that is black right now.
