Question Concerning Chrome Door Handle Covers

Hey,

I have the cheap-o chrome door handle covers and tailgate cover. Would I be able to pop them off and sand them and possibly spray paint them white to match the truck then buy more 3M tape, and put them back on?? I dont know if it would look right or not with the spray paint, or whether or not it would last.

Thanks,

Zane

Well just as you said they are "cheap" chrome handles so it wouldn't hurt to try. I personally think it would work and would look good. But since they are cheap if it ends up not turning out right your not losing anything.

my cheap door handles are ruined already from the snow, the plating on them must be thinner than a kleenex or something.

I could paint the handles, but i can paint the chrome covers for about 5 bucks compared to how ever much it would cost to paint the handles themselves, and if i dont like the look, i can still go back to black easily....
