Has anyone removed the mirror caps from an 06 KingRanch and replaced them with Ford Factory 2007-2008 chrome mirror caps that came with the Lariat Chrome Package.
Also, can some member confirm the mirror caps come off a 2006 factory mirror. And if so, how do you get them off, do they just pry off?

I don't like the idea of sticking on the Putco mirror caps with 2 way tape.

the caps do come off, you have to get the mirror (glass) off to get to the clips though.
The chrome ones should pop right in the place of those. Good choice on wanting to do it the right way though, stick on stuff is way to tacky.

they are held on with screws i believe, remove the glass and look behind it.
