Acetone Badges???

Acetone Badges???

I am wanting to acetone my badges but im wondering if it will hurt the XL and Heritage Lettering. And ive heard of brake cleaner workin as well what type/brand should i get.any help is much appreciated.

im sure if you do it. its gonna take EVERYTHING off.

i did mine but havent had time to paint it black and it took pretty much everything off.

If you use Q tips you can control what you take off. I left the "triton V8" in there, and the XLT is a sticker



everything is gone in the rear but i still used qtips


be sure to tape off under the badge down the side of the truck

I tapped off my badges and then used a Q-tip, it can take a while to get it all completely off, it like to smear around a little at first. I am not sure about the newer trucks, but on my buddies '97 and another '98 when we started to acetone, there was just more black under the black

yea they changed the badges in late 99 model i think
