I had mine done at a friends shop and he had the truck for half a day and did a great job. The tint has been on there for about three years and looks brand new. I think he gets better quality tint than I could get because he is in the tinting business. Below is a picture of my truck with the tint.

That squeegee is much better than the small rubber ones that they used to come with. The solution works very well too. If you have never tinted windows the DVD will help you very much. Of course they make it look easier than it really is but it is still a huge help. Just follow their directions. Use lots of solution and be patient.

As far as the tint goes....Llumar is probably the best. Thats what most shops use although I dont think you can buy it anywhere. Its more professional grade. You could try to see if a shop would sell you some but dont count on it. I just used the Gila premium tint and it worked well and looks great. Some say it will turn purple but I have never had that problem in the past. Just be sure not to use Windex or anything with amonia in it. Hope this helps!

yes this helps. i tinted before but when i got my truck done i took it to a pro and he used llumar. stuff is truely hard to find. i saw the gila tint at autozone today and but i bought this stuff named axius or axium and it says no fade scratch proof and stuff. i'll give it a try. i used it on my dads truck a few years ago but the cheaper version of it and it hasnt faded yet. its just tough finding good tint

Ive been waiting to tint my windows too. I was quoted 180 or so bucks for my two little back side windows, front side windows, and a brow across the windshield!! F THAT!. I figured if it was cheap I would just save myself the trouble and time, but I will do it myself for 180 since I can actually tint.

Im just trying to find some GOOD tint...Llumar, 3M, Johnson, etc. Im sure I will have this truck for awhile so I dont want to be retinting with cheap tint every 3 years.... I keep and eye out on Ebay for 3M and the like...

Finally took some shots of my tint job. I did 20% on the back and 35% on the sides. Definitely made the truck look much better! Also just got some nicer wheels.
